Lake Angelus
This is a stunning overnight hike, or day hike if you're extra speedy. Nestled away in Nelson Lakes National Park you'll find an impressive 28 bunk hut with water and fire mess hall which all overlooks Lake Angelus and the mountains. Between October and March you have to book and prices are more expensive so try the shoulder months and pack some treats, camera and lots of gear to put your feet up after this long walk across mountain tops or through lush forests.
